From 9 to 18 June 2026, AKI Project Manager Teklezghi Teklebrhan conducted a project steering visit to Gitega, Ngozi, and Bujumbura. The purpose of the mission was to assess the progress of ongoing project activities, strengthen cooperation with project partners, and jointly plan the next steps with local partners until the completion of the two ongoing projects.
Through numerous working meetings, field visits, and coordination sessions, the project team reviewed the achievements to date, identified challenges, and developed solutions for the continued implementation of project activities. Based on these assessments, a detailed roadmap for project activities until the end of the year was developed.
The intensive and systematically organized visit provided important momentum for the continued success of the projects.
The video provides brief insights into the project monitoring visit, highlighting selected activities and locations in Gitega, Ngozi, and Bujumbura.
Both projects are being implemented with financial support provided by the Parliament of Baden-Württemberg and the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg through the Baden-Württemberg Foundation for Development Cooperation (SEZ).
