AKI Accompanies Delegation of Uzbek Farmers on Study Tour Focused on Dairy and Beef Production

From 20 to 22 April, AKI accompanied a delegation of 15 farmers from Uzbekistan on an educational study tour in Germany. The program was organized by AKI Manager Teklezghi Teklebrhan and focused on dairy farming, milk production, and modern beef production systems in Germany.

The delegation was welcomed at Frankfurt Airport and immediately began an intensive practice-oriented program. The first visits included the farms Gebrüder Weibler GbR and Gaum Agrar GbR, where participants gained valuable insights into modern beef production, farm management structures, and mechanized dairy farming systems.

On the second day, accompanied by AKI Manager Dr. Olena Kalinina, the group visited Espenhof and the farm of Norbert Schnell. The hosts presented advanced milking robot technology, sustainable farming approaches, and Demeter-based agricultural concepts. The program continued at the Farmers’ School Bad Waldsee, where participants were introduced to the institution’s educational programs and agricultural training opportunities.

Further highlights followed on the third day of the study tour. The delegation visited the Dreher Erlebnis-Hof, an educational dairy farm combining agricultural production with experiential learning. During the visit, Matthias Poferl from Rinderunion Baden-Württemberg delivered a presentation on cattle breeding and the organization’s activities.

The program continued with a visit to the dairy farm of Karl Ringer in Eberhardzell, providing additional practical insights into dairy herd management and farm operations. The study tour concluded with a short guided tour through the historic city center of Ulm before the delegation returned to Frankfurt for their journey back to Uzbekistan.

The study tour provided Uzbek farmers with valuable insights into modern production systems, innovative technologies, and sustainable farm management practices in German agriculture.

AKI sincerely thanks all participating farms and partner organizations for their strong support and valuable professional exchange.
