Uzbek agricultural delegation visits southern Germany

AgrarKontakte International (AKI) e. V. welcomed an Uzbek agricultural organization for the first time at the end of March 2022, after a longer break because of the Corona pandemic, for a study trip of several days in southern Germany.

From the company Agro Consulting Global, which has been engaged for many years in the fields of management consulting and training of Uzbek farmers, AKI received the request to organize a study trip. The theme of the study tour was "Beef and dairy farming in Southern Germany".

A total of 31 people from Uzbekistan participated in the study tour in southern Germany from March 26 to April 1, 2022, under the supervision of AKI staff Assel Tokperdinova and Olga Rybakova. The participants were farmers, members of the farmers' association, as well as managers, veterinarians, agronomists and livestock breeders from Uzbekistan. The aim of the delegation visit was the exchange of knowledge and experience as well as the establishment of contacts between Southern German and Uzbek specialists.

Each day, the delegation group visited various farms in several regions of southern Germany: starting with the Stuttgart region, moving on to Hohenlohe, then to Upper Swabia and, as the last destination, Upper Bavaria. In addition, expert presentations on the structure of the German regional farmers' associations in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, as well as on cattle breeding and dairy farming in southern Germany, supplemented the program.

The delegation returned home on April 1, 2022, satisfied with the knowledge they had gained, valuable insights into southern German agriculture and new acquaintances.
