Radio Coverage Showcases AKI Training on Sustainable Agriculture

In late February 2026, the Burundian radio station Star FM aired a report on AKI’s community training, reaching an estimated one million listeners across five provinces.

The Kirundi-language segment highlighted practical solutions of the AKI project for climate action and improved livelihoods, emphasizing sustainable agricultural techniques such as soil health, composting techniques, erosion control, water management, agroforestry, post-harvest handling, and inclusive approaches for youth and women.

The report highlights AKI’s commitment to locally rooted, sustainable approaches that strengthen community resilience and enhance livelihoods in Burundi.

Trained farmers and youth act as local multipliers, sharing knowledge within their communities.
