Supporting Women Farmers in Ngozi: Abatazindukira Kujunja Cooperative
Together with its local partners, AKI supports farmers in Burundi in developing sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices, strengthening food security, protecting natural resources and building a more sustainable future.
On 4 October 2026, agricultural equipment and seeds were handed over to Abatazindukira Kujunja, a women’s cooperative in Camugani, Ngozi.

This project is implemented with financial support from the State Parliament and the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg through the Foundation for Development Cooperation Baden-Württemberg (SEZ).
The AKI team on the ground hands over agricultural equipment and seeds to the Abatazindukira Kujunja Cooperative in Ngozi
The cooperative comprises 53 women, whose families are estimated to include more than 300 people in total
