In June, AKI organized two exciting excursions as part of the traineeship program for altogether 82 trainees from Azerbaijan, Kenya, and Ukraine. The participants were divided into two groups by region and explored different parts of southern Germany.

The first group of 41 participants visited the picturesque region of Lake Constance and Upper Swabia. There, they experienced a variety of activities, including guided tours at BayWa Obst GmbH & Co. KG at the fruit wholesale market in Kressbronn and the fruit and hops center of BayWa AG in Tettnang. They also participated in a workshop for reviewing traineeship reports, visited the Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen, and took a guided tour at Drehers Erlebnishof in Bad Saulgau. They also immersed themselves in German culture by visiting the Museumsdorf Kürnbach and taking a tour of the Schussenrieder Brewery in Bad Schussenried.

The second group also consisting of 41 participants explored the fascinating region of Hohenlohe- Swabian-Hall. They visited the Blumenstock farm with a biogas plant and the impressive Kirchberg/Jagst Castle, where they were also accommodated. Their visits continued with the farmers' producer association (Bäuerliche Erzeugergemeinschaft) in Wolpertshausen, a farm with Swabian-Hall pigs and acorn-fattened pigs, as well as the Sonnenhof Spice Manufactur. They concluded their excursions with a visit to the dairy Hohenloher Molkerei eG in Schwäbisch Hall.

These excursions provided the participants with a unique opportunity to explore different regions and agricultural enterprises in Germany. This allowed them not only to deepen their understanding of German agriculture, but also to gain cultural experiences.
