On January 27, 2021, the Advisory Board of the Transitional Agriculture Project met digitally including the World Farmers' Organization (WFO) as well as the national farmers' organizations from Germany (DBV), Russia (AKKOR), Zimbabwe (ZFU), Malawi (NASFAM), Ghana (COFAG) and Rwanda (INGABO), and the organizers, Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA) and AgrarKontakte International (AKI), to exchange views on the formats of the project.

After the welcoming words of Dr. Andreas Quiring (Managing Director, AHA) and Falk Kullen (Managing Director, AKI), the presentation of the results from 2020 as well as the outlook of the annual program for 2021, there followed the greetings from Theo de Jager (President, WFO), V.N. Plotnikov (President, AKKOR), Paul Zakariya (Executive Director, ZFU), Oswald Tuyisenge (Program Manager, INGABO), Betty Chinyamunya (Executive Director, NASFAM) and Nelson Godfried (Executive Director, COAFG) with consistently positive feedback on the project.

Afterwards, a lively discussion about ideas and suggestions for the upcoming annual planning of the project followed. Suggestions from participants ranged from offering virtual field trips to farms (due to current travel restrictions), to increasing the involvement of young farmers, to organizing unofficial meetings so that participants can also get to know each other on a personal level. The suggestions will be considered for this year's annual program.

The first seminar block is expected to take place in March 2021.

We are looking forward to another exciting year of fruitful exchanges within the Transitional Agriculture project.
